This is a photo I took through the kitchen window in Arizona. He is a small bobcat who just killed a gopher snake. Unfortunately, the gopher snakes are good snakes and eat rodents, etc.

I’d much rather run into the bobcat than the snake, good snake or not, I hate snakes. Bobcats are not particularly big: like an oversized cat. 15-20 pounds. If one comes near you, as with foxes, it probably has rabies. It might attack your small dog or your chickens but they aren’t very big. They sure are pretty even with a nasty snake in its mouth.
